guess what??

just one more day (and the rest of today) until break!

hmmm...i need to pack

and do laundry

but yay! break! even though it's... abbreviated. ugh, marching band. i get so annoyed by marching band when i'm in it, but i do like it, i promise, and i miss it when it's over.

i get to see my cousins and my aunt and uncles and my grandpa (and my parents and brother of course)! and eat lots of good food that's not from a dining hall! and be lazy! and whatever else i have time for!

hopefully me and alyssa will do something - i promised! and anybody else that isnt busy tuesday night or friday night!

so i found out that if we win the football game on saturday, we're #1 in the conference and will host the championship game on dec. 5th, but if we lose, we are still eastern c-usa champions and will go to a game in texas on dec. 5th (marching band included! we'll get to fly!) so, part of me hopes we'll win and not have to go anywhere and be ranked #1 in our conference, but another part of me hopes we'll lose and get a whole plane just for the marching band! either way, we're gonna have a game on the 5th. (which is also the day before our wind ensemble christmas concert... hmm, i wonder how that will work...)

ughhh....

i really wish there was a pond or lake nearby so i could go throw stuff in it. i feel like i could skip a rock about 20 times right now.

less than a month till break!!!!!!!!

gah, i'm tired. i'm tired by a lot of things. school in general is one of them. why do i have to have a game the saturday after thanksgiving? actually... two games. a football game and a basketball game.... and i have a game tomorrow, too. and then after those games, i have a concert on December 1st, well sort of two concerts. Wind ensemble and symphonic band. i think that's the tuesday after break. and then we (hopefully) will have a conference championship game on Dec. 5th. and then i have another concert on Dec. 6th. i think it's the 6th.... a sunday - it's christmas music with the wind ensemble. after that, i have my first exam (that i know of so far) on friday the 11th (calc III, woohoo) and then other ones the next week - the last one that i know of is on dec. 17th, but i have to play at commencement with the wind ensemble on the 18th. oh, and i have to play a solo in front of some of the faculty with an accompanist (who costs $75!!! ugh). i dont know what the date for that is yet, though.

so i have 3 days off for thanksgiving, but i'll be driving 7 1/2 hours to and from atlanta on wednesday and friday, so the only real "break" is thanksgiving day. but it will be nice to see all of my family and everything. and maybe, if i'm lucky, i'll be able to sleep in the car? idk. i never sleep in the car. i just cant get comfortable enough.

then comes christmas break! at last! the end is in sight! sort of - it's a little foggy, though. oh, and i'll probably have a bowl game during break sometime.... right now we're projected to have one on december 30th in washington, dc. oh, marching band, how do you find a way to take away my life even when we're not in school?

it's been a while...

so, there's definitely a lot i could write about just because it's been so long since i last wrote a blog, but i'll spare you and just write about a few things. in case you didnt know, which i guess i can't really expect you to know, actually, i'm in the basketball pep band now - mainly because we get $200 for it and... well, i'm a broke college student pretty much. but we don't get paid until the end of the season, i guess - which isn't until like... march. but yeah. we also got these jump suit things? that's what dr. franklin calls them, at least. it includes a jacket, a t-shirt, and a pair of pants which, combined without tax, would cost $158 - i can't believe they just gave us this stuff! but hey, it's comfortable. and i can maybe pretend it fits... the pants do, if i roll them up, and the jacket's not too too big... (they only had men's sizes). oh, and we got hats, too.

but yeah - the basketball games are pretty fun - we have a bunch of things we do at them. like, if someone on the other team gets an air ball, we continue to yell "airball" every time they get the ball throughout the rest of the game, even if they make an awesome 3 or something. i kinda feel bad when we do it, but it gives us something to keep track of. also, sometimes when the other team has the ball, we'll say "boink" whenever they dribble, "pass" whenever they pass, and just make loud noises when they shoot. that one's fun. haha, i think we're obnoxious to the opposing team, but that's kinda the point, right?

so today, the snack machine in the instrument storage room was reading all $1 bills as $2 so every time you bought something with a dollar bill, it gave you your change plus one more dollar! it pretty much made my day. they gave me $1.25 to get cheetos!

i tried to watch the meteor shower last night, but it was really foggy and too bright and i only saw about 3... but that's better than none, which is what i normally see, right? i also slept through my alarm... but it went off again, luckily.

i'm glad i live a fairly stress-free life, so far. i mean, there is some ...drama... ugh, but i'm mostly uninvolved, and it seems to be getting better. i'm a little worried about next semester and school related stress, though, but... i can do it.

sorry for another random, uninteresting post - it's kind of like my life - haha, random and uninteresting. maybe i'll fix that some day. maybe soon, probably not, but 11:11 is gonna come around in a few hours, if you don't tell, maybe that'll be my wish.... :/

i hate it when you do someone a favor but then they make you feel bad about it. i mean, i could just not help you at all. 30 minutes is a lot better than 2+ hours. :p
